Facility & Programs Manager
Jim Crabtree
Jim serves as our Facility & Programs Manager, where he focuses on creating a welcoming, well-run space for players of all ages and skill levels. His career has included leadership roles in the military, education, healthcare administration, and real estate, giving him a broad background in operations, problem-solving, and community-focused work.
While Jim is newer to tennis and pickleball himself, he is passionate about building strong programs, maintaining a great facility, and helping the center grow as a place where the Pueblo community can gather, learn, compete, and enjoy the game.

Sam Hitman
Welcome to Hitman Sports Management! With over 25 years of experience in the tennis industry, our owner, Sam, leads the way in creating exceptional tennis experiences at our two facilities, including Gates Tennis Center and Pueblo Tennis & Pickleball Center. Sam grew up in New Jersey and played D-1 tennis at Rutgers University. We believe that successful tennis management hinges on three key: inclusive programs for everyone, a dedicated staff that prioritizes family-style customer service, and, most importantly, ensuring every session is fun! Tennis Pro
Chris Roman
Chris Roman is an RSPA-certified tennis professional and NFPT-certified personal trainer, currently serving as the Head Women’s Tennis Coach at CSU Pueblo. A former #1 singles and doubles player at CSU Pueblo (then the University of Southern Colorado), Chris brings decades of high-level playing and coaching experience to the court.
He specializes in tactics, patterns of play, and footwork/balance, working with both adult and junior players through private and group instruction. Chris has coached multiple USTA league teams and has helped develop junior athletes to regional championships and top-three finishes at the Colorado State High School Championships.
He is currently working with a nationally ranked Top 15 junior player in the country.

Pickleball Pro
Guy Taylor
Guy started playing pickleball in 2021 when a friend kept telling him how good they thought he would be. After playing for the first time he was hooked. Within 6 months he was playing tournaments. Since then Guy is a regular in the tournament scene, flying all around the United States to play. He has won over 30 tournaments. He believes if you aren't having fun you are wasting your time. He specializes in footwork and strategy.

Kenyon Hempworth
Kenyon is an energetic and dedicated tennis instructor who brings experience leading group classes and working with players of all skill levels. He has a strong ability to connect with players and create a welcoming, upbeat atmosphere on the court.
His approach centers around developing solid technique, improving on-court confidence, and helping players enjoy the learning process. Kenyon has successfully organized and led structured classes, keeping sessions engaging while helping players make steady progress.
In addition to group instruction, Kenyon offers private lessons designed to meet each player’s individual goals, whether that’s refining technique, improving consistency, or gaining a better understanding of match play.

Nadia Zia-Ahmadi
Coach Nadia brings a positive, energetic approach to the court and has been coaching tennis for over two years, working primarily with junior players of all skill levels. She is passionate about helping athletes build strong fundamentals while developing confidence, consistency, and a genuine love for the game.
Her coaching style focuses on creating a fun, supportive environment where players feel encouraged to take risks, improve their technique, and grow both on and off the court. Whether working with beginners or more advanced juniors, she emphasizes footwork, balance, and smart decision-making, all while keeping sessions engaging and enjoyable.

Grant Pollard
Grant is a dedicated junior tennis instructor who brings a calm, patient, and supportive presence to the court. A high school senior, Grant has played competitively for over four years and finished his junior season undefeated in the Colorado Springs Metro League.
He works primarily with younger junior players, creating a positive and comfortable environment where kids can build confidence, learn proper fundamentals, and enjoy the game. Grant focuses on footwork, consistency, and strong technique while keeping lessons fun and engaging.
He enjoys working with kids and looks forward to continuing his coaching through junior programs and summer camps.

Volunteer
Chris Brown
Chris Brown has been an avid tennis player for more years than she cares to admit, competing in numerous leagues and tournaments throughout the years. After retiring from the Pueblo Chieftain, where she served as Photo Director, Chris now volunteers several hours each week at the Pueblo Tennis & Pickleball Center.
When she’s not helping around the facility, Chris can usually be found on the court, still playing tennis four to five times a week. She also hopes to soon pass along her love of the game to her three young grandchildren.

Voluteer
Paula Henson
Paula Henson is a lifelong athlete and one of Pueblo’s most accomplished competitors. After a standout softball career, she transitioned to tennis and quickly became one of the top 5.0 and senior doubles players in Colorado.
She has competed on several USTA state championship teams, with multiple advancing to national tournaments, and represented the Southwest region at the U.S. Open National Family Championship.
Beyond tennis, Paula was inducted into both the Greater Pueblo Sports Association Hall of Fame and the Colorado High School Volleyball Referees Hall of Fame.
Now competing in pickleball, she has quickly established herself as one of the top senior players in Pueblo and enjoys supporting the center through her time at the front desk.
