Sam started playing tennis his sophomore year of high school, and ended up a 2 time state finalist in Michigan proving it is never to late to pick up tennis. Sam joined Hitman Sports Management in 2022 when he joined the Lakewood Park Tennis Center as a pro. He led the LPTC JTT team to a state finals appearence his first year! Sam began playing pickleball in Denver and won his first tournament in March of 2024!

Leah Ann Tucker

Staff

Leah Ann, a Pueblo Native, played collegiately for the University of Southern Colorado (now CSU-P). She is still active in the Tennis community by Captaining a 4.0 USTA team as well as coaching Pueblo County Highschool's tennis team. Tennis isn't the only sport she enjoys though. Leah Ann also is a passionate Pickleball player. She competes regularly in pickleball tournaments Amazingly she balances all this while being a mother to two teenage twins.

Chris Brown

Staff

Chris Brown has been an avid tennis player for many years, picking up the sport in her 30’s to get some exercise while raising two children. She has been captain of numerous USTA teams over the years and still plays at least four times a week, although usually not as well as she would like. After retiring after 40 years from the Pueblo Chieftain as photo director she became a master gardener and works as a volunteer at the native plan demonstration gardens at Lake Pueblo. She also enjoys yoga and kayaking and, most important of all, is the loving grandmother to three toddler grandchildren.

In 6th grade Daniel started his passion for teaching through the JSTA tennis association for Down-syndrome. Following a varsity career in high-school and college Daniel has managed and taught in Lake Geneva WI, Stratton mountain VT, Beaver Creek CO, and the Missouri Athletic Club in St. Louis MO with a Professional Tennis Management degree from MU.

Chris Roman

Tennis Pro

Chris is a long-standing major contributor to tennis in Pueblo. He has been coaching and USPTA certified since 1992. He played #1 singles/Doubles for the University of Southern Colorado. Chris has published his own teaching manual entitled "Tennis Lesson Progression: Building Blocks for Singles & Doubles".Most recently Chris has become the head coach for CSU-Pueblo Womens tennis His strengths include developing strong competitors by stressing the tactics of the game.

Brenden Sullinger

Management Support Specialist

Brenden has been a key member of the Hitman Sports Management team for 10 years! Starting as a front desk worker at PTC, he has moved up to become the youngest tennis director in the state at Lakewood Park Tennis Center. He has now transitioned to running all facilities at Gates Tennis Center in Cherry Creek He hit his first tennis ball at the age of 14, sparking a passion and continuing to go on to play for CSU-Pueblo. His style focuses on winning points through efficiency. When Brenden is not at the courts (he's always there) he enjoys listening to live music and loves animals.​ Email: brenden@pueblotennis.info

Guy Taylor

Pickleball Pro

Guy started playing pickleball in 2021 when a friend kept telling him how good they thought he would be. After playing for the first time he was hooked. Within 6 months he was playing tournaments. Since then Guy is a regular in the tournament scene, flying all around the United States to play. He has won over 30 tournaments. He believes if you aren't having fun you are wasting your time.  He specializes in footwork and strategy.

Sam Hitman

Owner, Hitman Sports Management

Sam has over 25 years in the tennis industry and is a principal at Hitman Sports Management, LLC, which operates and manages 3 tennis facilities, including Gates Tennis Center & Pueblo Tennis Center. Sam grew up in New Jersey and played D-1 tennis at Rutgers University. According to Sam, running successful tennis facilities comes down to 3 things: 1) programs for everyone  2) great staff that understands family-style customer service 3) Always remembering to make it fun!

Sonrisa Bustamente

Junior Tennis Pro

Sonrisa just graduated from CSU-Pueblo! She was on the tennis team and cheerleading team all 4 years of college. She has been playing tennis for 8 years and loves working with junior players. She specializes in strategy, technique, and helping her students achieve their goals.
